Drug dealer named Hakem High caught with large quantity of drugs near school

A drug dealer was arrested on a charge of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute after allegedly being caught with a large quantity of drugs near a school, according to police in New Jersey.

Hoboken police said that they have arrested 25-year-old Hakem High, after assaulting a person in a public housing complex within a thousand feet of a school.

In court, High pleaded not guilty to charges of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and possession within 1,000 feet of a school, possession within 500 feet of public housing, aggravated assault and trespassing on public housing property.

According to the criminal complaint, officers were called around 5:00 a.m. on Sunday, on a report of an assault in an apartment on the third floor of a building in the 500 block of Marshall Drive.

Police found the victim with a black eye, and were told that High was the aggressor. Police arrested High, who was found in possession of 16 small bags containing marijuana.

The victim was taken to the Hoboken University Medical Center.
