A convicted rapist received one of the longest prison terms for rape in Russia.
According to police, 39-year-old Gizar Ziyangareev, was a ladies man, who had many lovers.
However, he also raped the women who did not agree to have sex with him.
Ziyangareev, who had sex with four women against their wills, reportedly told police that they “should be grateful to him.”
Sadly, one of his victims, was left in a coma after she was viciously assaulted and raped with a foreign object.
The court heard how Ziyangareev of Ufa, punched 31-year-old Anna Barmina, before dragging her into the bushes, where he raped her with a broken tree branch.
He then stole her laptop, money and her cellphone, and left her to die. She was found and taken to a hospital.
Doctors said that all of the woman’s internal organs were damaged, causing her to have a heart attack and to go into a coma.
Police worked tirelessly until they arrested the suspect after Barmina and three other women were raped in the same week.
It has been one year since her attack and Barmina never recovered. She is unable to move or speak.
The family of Barmina, wanted him to get the death penalty, but he was sentenced to 23 years in prison, which is one of the longest sentences for rape in the country.
