Brad Pitt will duke it out with his estranged wife, Angelina Jolie, for joint physical custody of their six kids in the wake of her bombshell divorce filing earlier this week, TMZ reports.
The actor reportedly says there’s “no chance” Jolie who in her divorce petition Monday requested sole physical custody of their children, with Pitt granted visitation would get her way, sources told the gossip site.
Though Jolie asked for joint legal custody, her play for sole physical custody would mean that Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and Knox and Vivienne, 8, lived with her full time.
The “Unbroken” director, citing irreconcilable differences in her paperwork, sought to end her marriage of two years “for the health of the family,” her attorney Robert Offer said Tuesday.
Sources told TMZ she’d grown tired of Pitt’s partying lifestyle which apparently included marijuana and alcohol use and his alleged “anger problem.” Jolie also believed those factors fostered an unsafe environment for their kids, according to the site.
Insiders close to the “Fight Club” star, meanwhile, called those claims “a malicious lie.”
