Brad Pitt skipping ‘Voyage of Time’ screening amid Angelina Jolie divorce drama

Brad Pitt is dodging the spotlight amid his ongoing divorce drama with Angelina Jolie.

The actor won’t attend a screening of his new film “Voyage of Time” on Wednesday because he doesn’t want his presence to take away from the movie in the wake of his shocking split.

“I’m very grateful to be part of such a fascinating and educational project, but I’m currently focused on my family situation and don’t want to distract attention away from this extraordinary film, which I encourage everyone to see,” he said in a statement to Access Hollywood.

The 52-year-old Pitt who has been with Jolie since 2004 and married to her since 2014 has been at the center of the gossip universe since the 41-year-old actress filed for divorce last week and requested sole physical custody of their six kids.

The “Ocean’s Eleven” star expressed his disappointment shortly after the bombshell separation.

“I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the well-being of our kids,” he told People in a statement. “I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time.”

Jolie, meanwhile, hasn’t publicly commented on the situation, though her attorney said she initiated the breakup for “the health of the family.”

The actress has reportedly been living with their six children in a Malibu rental in the days following the divorce filing, according to Entertainment Tonight. Pitt hasn’t seen his kids throughout that stretch, E! News reports.

Pitt serves as a narrator and producer for “Voyage of Time,” which was written and directed by filmmaker Terrence Malick.

The film has been in the making for over four decades and is billed as an examination of past and the future of the universe and humanity’s place within it.
