Divorcing A-listers Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie won’t be battling over their financial assets — it’s the fight over custody of their kids that will feel like “World War Z.”
The couple have a rigid prenuptial agreement detailing exactly who gets what of their reported $400 million combined fortune, according to TMZ.
The estranged couple have 12 total properties they acquired prior to getting married, seven of which belong to Pitt while Jolie owns two. The duo purchased three together, including an apartment in New York, a mansion in New Orleans and a vineyard in France, before tying the knot in 2014.
The major issue in the divorce is custody over their children. Pitt plans to fight for joint physical custody of their six kids Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10 and twins Knox and Vivienne, 8. The “Fight Club” star reportedly says there’s “no chance” Jolie would get her way, sources told the gossip site.
Meanwhile, Jolie who requested sole physical custody of their children in her divorce petition last week allegedly has blocked her estranged husband’s phone number, Us Weekly reported.
Allegations that Pitt, 52, was inebriated on a private jet on a flight home from France and acted abusive toward one of the kids, led Los Angeles child welfare officials to investigate the claim last week. The FBI has also been looking into the incident.
A source close to the Oscar-nominated actor told the Daily News that he got into a verbal spat with son Maddox during the flight, but was never physically abusive towards any of his kids. Law enforcement sources told TMZ it’s “highly unlikely” anything will come from the investigation.
Brangelina’s 12-year relationship came to a shocking end last week when Jolie, 41, filed for divorce from the “World War Z” actor citing “irreconcilable differences” after two years of marriage. The Hollywood couple fell in love on the set of “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” in 2004 and officially started dating a year later, after Pitt’s divorce from his first wife, Jennifer Aniston .
