A babysitter was arrested on a charge of murder after being accused of causing the death of a young boy by torturing him with cold and heat, according to police in New York.
Now, Kryzie King, 29, of Manhattan, has pleaded guilty to the murder of 4-year-old Myls Dobson.
King pleaded guilty in New York State Supreme Court to all of the charges against her, murder in the second degree, assault in the first degree, attempted assault in the first degree, and six counts of assault in the second degree.
According to the criminal complaint, Dobson was left in King’s care at her West 48th Street apartment.
Over the course of three weeks, King repeatedly assaulted the child, including binding his hands and feet, striking him with electrical cords and belt buckles, locking him outside on a patio in record low temperatures, and burning him with a hot toaster oven rack.
One morning, King called 911 as the child was not feeling well.
Police found the boy suffering from burns and bruises, and was severely dehydrated. He was taken to the St. Luke’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
