Three men were arrested on a charge of murder after allegedly hanging a teenager and her lover because they had an extramarital affair, according to police in Pakistan.
Chak 56 police said that they have arrested the woman’s husband, her father and her brother, for hanging 19-year-old Mukhtiar Muhammad on a tree for having sex with 20-year-old Khalida Bibi.
According to the police investigation, the husband, who was not identified, caught his wife having sex with Bibi in the backyard of his home.
He immediately told his wife’s father and her brother about the affair, and the three hanged the mother of three children on a tree along her lover.
The incident unfolded on Thursday around 1:00 p.m.
After police arrested the three suspects, they all admitted to killing the two victims because they were having an extramarital affair.
