12-year-old boy steals parents’ car and drives 125 miles to visit his grandmother

Police launched an investigation after the parents of a young boy reported their child missing, according to police in Germany.

Saxony police said that the 12-year-old boy was reported missing by his parents after telling them that he wanted to visit his grandmother.

After several hours, the grandmother called the boy’s parents to say that he and his 13-year-old friend had arrived safely. The 12-year-old boy drove 125 miles without being noticed.

He even traveled on a highway, which does not have a speed limit.

The boy’s deed paid off as his parents allowed him to stay with his grandmother over night, fearing that he will decide to drive back to their home.

Police said that no charges will be filed against the 12-year-old boy as he is younger the 14 years old, which is the age limit for prosecution.
