A married couple was arrested for violating child welfare laws after running a brothel staffed with 100 underage girls, according to police in Japan.
Osaka police said that they have arrested 57-year-old Akito Kawai and his wife Kumi, after a 17-year-old girl called police to say that she was forced to have sex with a 40-year-old man.
According to the police investigation, the couple ran a brothel, which advertised itself as a youth counseling center that uses girls to speak with older men.
The couple charged $60 for 30 minutes with an underage girl.
An undercover agent who entered the youth counseling center, was greeted by a receptionist and collected the $60 for a 30-minute session.
The agent was then given a choice to choose one of a hundred girls. After choosing a girl, they entered a private room. When the agent asked about the counseling service, the girl laughed and said that this was a brothel.
