A woman was arrested for animal cruelty after killing her pet snakes and eating their heads.
The woman of Shropshire, England, was drunk when she beheaded her two snakes with scissors before swallowing their heads.
Police were called, and arrested 28-year-old Jennifer Lampe. A court heard that the officer found that the snake bodies were still moving as they were wrapped around Lampe’s neck.
She then vomited the heads after swallowing them. She asked the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) to allow her to keep the heads.
Lampe was living with her sister and her sister’s boyfriend at the time of the incident.
Lampe and her sister’s boyfriend got into an argument and she became agitated. She was yelling and swearing before going up to her room.
There, she took a pair of scissors and a knife. When her sister entered the room and saw blood dripping, she called police.
In court, Lampe pleaded guilty to causing unnecessary suffering to the snakes.
She was sentenced to four months in prison, which was suspended for two years. Se was also banned from having animals for five years.
