Police are looking to arrest a man on a charge of theft after being seen on video cutting down a tree in order to steal a bike that was chained to it, according to police in China.
Changsha police said that the incident unfolded on Monday night, on a quiet street that has many trees.
The video of the incident shows the thief approaching the tree on his motor bike. He got off his motor bike and used a saw to cut the tree.
After a few minutes of cutting, the tree fell down to the ground.
The thief, who was not identified, then picked up the bicycle and placed it on his motor bike. He then fled from the scene. So far, no arrests have been made.
