Police in Canada, are urging people to play Pokemon Go responsibly.
This came after the helicopter police unit in Ontario, spotted an erratic driver and began following him in fear that he was a would-be burglar.
However, police said that he turned out to be a late-night Pokemon Go player.
The York Regional Police posted a video of the incident to YouTube. The video footage was taken by the police helicopter as it watched the car driving on a highway before veering off to a side road and stopping at different locations.
The man drove erratically through the city of Vaughan, at 3:20 a.m. on Monday.
“I’m sure that the officers up in the helicopter believed that the driver might have been impaired or that the may have been looking to commit a criminal offense like a break-and-enter,” a police spokesman said.
The officers from the helicopter called police to chase the suspicious vehicle. When they pulled over the vehicle, the driver admitted to playing Pokemon Go.
Officer decided not to give the driver a ticket, and they let him off with a warning.
