A man who was sent to prison for raping a 12-year-old girl, was run over and killed by van, according to police in the United Kingdom.
27-year-old Ryan Draper of Caerwys, has been sentenced to serve five years in prison after pleading guilty to rape in connection with the rape of the 12-year-old girl.
Sergeant Tony Gatley from North Wales Police Roads Policing Unit, said that the incident unfolded on Saturday around 1:00 a.m., on the on the B5122 near the 34 junction of the A55.
The 42-year-old driver of the van was arrested on a charge of dangerous driving causing death after allegedly slamming into the child rapist and his girlfriend.
Draper was declared dead at the scene. His girlfriend, who was not identified, was taken to the Glan Clwyd Hospital, where she is said to be in critical condition.
