A family’s vacation turned tragic when their tour guide killed the mother and injured the father in front of their kids.

The tour guide stabbed and killed the tourist who was visiting the Maasai Mara Game Reserve in Kenya, after an argument broke out over seating arrangements for dinner.

The guide, Lee Changqin, arranged the trip and he brought three couples and children from China to Kenya. They stayed at the Keekorok Lodge, which is located on the park grounds.

John Kiruti, who is the manager of the Keekorok Lodge, said that Luo Jinli, 45, her husband Dong Ya, 47, and their two children, came to the restaurant with the tour guide for dinner.

They soon got into an argument over seating arrangements.

“After a brief exchange of words, the tour guide pulled out a knife and stabbed the two, killing the mother and injuring her husband,” Kiruti said.

Kiruti said that the couple’s two children, who are 9 and 12 years old, witnessed the stabbing.

Hotel staff rushed to stop the guide, who was held down until police arrived to arrest him.
