Toddlers left inside hot car rescued by cop

Police Officer Robert Manley used an emergency “Lifehammer” to break the front driver’s side window to remove a 3 year-old boy and 1 year-old girl from the vehicle.

An NYPD cop rescued two toddlers in the sweltering heat of a Bronx car Friday – and arrested their dad for leaving them.

A bystander flagged down cops on Barnes Ave. near Lydig Ave. in Pelham Parkway at about 4 p.m to report two young children in a Toyota Camry, parked with the engine off and windows rolled up.

Officer Robert Manley smashed a side window and unlocked the car before pulling a 3-year-old boy and 1-year-old girl to safety.

It was not clear how long their dad Javed Shoaib, 39, had left the children in the car.
