Thief steals Jaguar that employee stole from his boss to drive to drug dealer to buy drugs

A man was fired just two weeks after getting a job for stealing his boss’ luxury car.

Police in Florida, arrested the worker, who was identified as 51-year-old Patrick Holcomb, after he was seen on video driving his boss’ Jaguar before it went missing.

Police said that a manager at an auto repair shop in Boynton Beach, called his boss, who was on vacation in New York, to report that her luxury car went missing.

The manager immediately suspected Holcomb of taking it because he allowed his new employee to sleep at the shop as he was homeless, but he was nowhere to be found.

Video surveillance showed Holcomb driving away from the business with the car. Holcomb told police that he received a message from his drug dealer, offering to sell him $30 worth of crack cocaine.

Holcomb said that he was reluctant to take his own motorcycle because it was raining. Instead, he broke into a safe and took the keys of a 2005 Jaguar Type-S that belonged to his boss.

Holcomb left before 6:00 a.m., and planned on being back and returning the keys before anyone came to work.

However, he said that when he reached the drug dealer and got out of the car, the dealer’s friend jumped inside and drove off.

The car was found two day later. Holcomb was arrested on a charge of grand theft auto and was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail, where his bail was set at $5,000.
