Sheriff moves to produce another PDP guber candidate in Ondo

The factional national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), ‎Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, has begun moves to select another governorship candidate for the party in Ondo.
Sheriff yesterday set up a screening committee for aspirants who recently bought the expression of interest and nomination forms ‎from his faction.

The committee, led by Yunusa Mohammed, shortly after its inauguration began screening of aspirants who were present at the event held at Maitama, Abuja.

The governorship aspirants for the Sheriff’s faction are Barrister Jimoh Ibrahim, Prince Bamiduro Dada, Hon. Niran Sule, Hon Sola Ebiseni and Barrister Abiye Ademoye.

‎Sheriff said the decision for the party’s candidate for the election would be made by the delegates.

The primaries conducted last week by the caretaker chairman of the PDP, Senator Ahmed Makarfi produced former Commissioner, Eyitayo Jegede as the PDP candidate.
