10-year-old Legend Preston of Newark, said that while shooting hoops, his ball rolled onto the street.

Suddenly, he saw a few police officers running after him with their guns drawn.

The fifth grader, who is tall for his age, said that he thought that the officers were coming after him because he went on the road without looking if cars were coming.

When neighbors told police that the boy was just 10 years old, officers realized that they were after the wrong person.

Officers admitted to having their guns out, but they denied pointing them at the child.

Officers later arrested their wanted suspect, who was identified as 20-year-old Casey Joseph Robinson. He was charged with armed robbery.
