Cops have arrested a 26-year-old man they say choked and raped a woman inside Riverside Park early Saturday, officials said.
Anthony Camilo met his 24-year-old victim on a Brooklyn-bound F train on Friday night, according to cops.
As the two chatted, Camilo said he had a friend who could give her a ride to Brooklyn — but his pal was in Riverside Park.
When they went into the park near W. 70th St. about 12:20 a.m. Saturday, he allegedly choked her, forced her to the ground and raped her.
The woman’s screams sent him scurrying away — and drew the attention of eyewitnesses, who gave responding officers a detailed description.
Camilo was arrested during a search of the park, cops said. He was charged with rape, sexually motivated assault and strangulation.
His arraignment was pending Saturday.
The victim was taken to Saint Luke’s Hospital, where she was treated and released, officials said.
