Police are using Pokemon Go rare creatures to lure people with warrants to their station

Police in Virginia, have are using Pokemon Go to lure criminals to the police station.

The police station is using its Facebook page to invite “random citizens” to try and catch a super-rare Pokemon in their processing room.

The Smithfield Police Department took to Facebook to announce that there are rare Pokemon Go characters at the precinct and only a few people were selected, and they will permitted to enter to collect them.

However, police admitted that these “random citizens” are people who have outstanding warrants and they will be arrested if they show up at the station.

In the Facebook post police wrote: “The rarest Pokemon of all has been spotted in the Smithfield Police Department processing room: Ditto!

“Since it is so rare, we can only allow a limited number of people in the building to capture it. We put the mainframe computer in the basement to work and came up with a list of random citizens eligible for this rare opportunity. If your name is on the list below, you are one of the lucky folks invited to come to the Police Department for the capture!

Marc Eley Burton
Terry Carsolerick Cobb
Anrea Irma Goins
Neshaeka Divonne Harkless
Karolyn Yvonne Heath
Henry Lanauze
Cydny Charleston Lewis
Wilbur Pair

“This list will be updated periodically, as long as Ditto hangs around,” police wrote.
