For the second time in two weeks, the All Progressives Congress(APC) has again shifted the Ondo primary election to September 3 citing logistic reasons.
The exercise was originally fixed for today, but shifted to Wednesday August 31 and now rescheduled for September 3 by the National Executive Commitee(NEC) of the party.
The team to oversee the smooth conduct of the APC election in the state headed by the Jigawa State Governor,Mohammed Abubakar is being expected in Akure, the state capital.
A statement by the Director of Media and Publicity, Steve Bayode said the State Executives and the entire APC members in Ondo State had already set for the primaries originally scheduled for today, but NEC decided on the postponement which was later conveyed to the State Exco for logitistics reasons.
It said: “ The election has now been shifted to September 3 and will be tentatively held at the democracy park in Akure.
The statement maintained that the Ondo APC is more than prepared to host those coming to conduct the election.
It said“At the State level, we are more than prepared for the election. There will be accreditation and all other processes involved. The presiding officer is going to address the aspirants, the excos of the party and all other persons involved on arrival in Ondo state”.
