Could Lady Gaga be looking for someone older and wiser in the wake of her split from Taylor Kinney?
The 30-year-old Mother Monster was recently seen dining with Ray Liotta, 61, in a private room at L’Artusi, an intimate, contemporary Italian restaurant in New York’s West Village neighborhood, according to the New York Post.
Over the course of their tete-a-tete, the two got up together a few times to step outside for a smoke before wrapping things up and leaving after 10:30 p.m.
An onlooker tells the tab, “They looked super chummy and like they know each other well.” And they should: the two starred in “Sin City: A Dame To Kill For,” back in 2014, although they did not play one another’s love interest.
But a rep has already told the Post the get-together was a friendly meeting, not a date. “Ray is friends with Stefani [Gaga] and her dad,” said the spokesperson. Gaga’s father, Joe Germanotta, runs another Italian restaurant in town, Joanne Trattoria, on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.
Lady G. and Taylor called it quits in July, ending their five-year relationship and 16-month engagement.
Though neither has said much about why they parted ways, Taylor was rumored to have gotten frustrated with the drawn-out wedding planning process, which Gaga said her family was heavily involved with. A source told Life&Style he finally gave the singer an ultimatum.
“She switches from Hawaii to Italy from week to week. Taylor wanted to be hands-on and involved with all the planning, but he’s given up,” said the insider.
Gaga seemed to tell a different story, though, even after the split.
“Taylor and I have always believed we are soulmates,” she wrote on Instagram this summer. “Just like all couples we have ups and downs, and we have been taking a break. We are both ambitious artists, hoping to work through long-distance and complicated schedules to continue the simple love we have always shared. Please root us on. We’re just like everybody else and we really love each other.”
Ray, who’s more than 30 years older than Gaga, has reportedly been single since 2011, when he split from Catherine Hickland.
