Man who stole car from school twerks in front of a judge to get low bail

A man who was arrested on a charge of theft for stealing a car, danced in front of a judge during a court hearing in order to get a low to minimal bail, according to a video that was uploaded to the Internet.

Miami police said that they have arrested 33-year-old Calvin Lloyd Griffith, after being accused of taking car keys from a school and driving away with a vehicle.

Griffith has been charged with burglary in an occupied dwelling, petit theft, grand theft auto and trespassing in a school/school safety zone.

When Griffith was brought before Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Catherine M. Pooler, he began twerking in hopes of getting a low to minimal bail.

However, the judge was not amused, and set his bail at $18,500.

According to the police investigation, Griffith entered the Miami Edison Senior High School, and walked into the attendance office on Tuesday.

Once he entered the office, he removed the car keys from a counter. Griffith then exited the school building and went into the parking lot, where he sat into a black 2013 Volkswagen Passat.

Moments later, he drove out of the parking lot and headed east on Northwest 62nd Street.
