A man who tried to be funny, was arrested on a charge of being drunk and disorderly in a public place after wearing a traffic cone on his head while walking in the street, according to police in the United Kingdom.
Now, 20-year-old Daniel O’Donnell of Worcester, has been placed on six months of probation.
He was also ordered to pay 155 pounds ($202) after pleading guilty to the charge as part of a plea bargain agreement with prosecutors.
According to the criminal complaint, O’Donnell was drunk in the early hours of the morning while walking on the street. He picked up a traffic cone and placed it on his head.
Police officers who saw O’Donnell, approached him to talk about the cone on his head. Officers then noticed that O’Donnell smelled of alcohol.
They told him to put the cone back where it belongs and go home. A few minutes later, the officers noticed O’Donnell taking selfies and wearing the traffic cone on his head.
