Ekiti Afenifere chief Awojolu dies at 72

The Chairman of Afenifere in Ekiti State, Chief Ibidapo Awojolu, is dead.

He died after a brief illness on Tuesday. He was 72. Family sources said Awojolu, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) died at about 6:00am in Ado Ekiti, the state capital.

The late septuagenarian, who hailed from Egbe Ekiti, Gbonyin local government area of the state, served as the Chairman of Ekiti State Community Development Agency (EKSCDA) during the administration of former Governor Kayode Fayemi.

A condolence register has been opened at his residence in Falegan area, Ilawe Road, Ado Ekiti.
