Drunk teen flies out of back window of police car after freeing himself from handcuff

A teenager was charged with fleeing from police after falling out of a police car when it crashed.

Police were called to the mall at Turtle Creek in Arkansas, for an intoxicated teenager, and police arrested him for public intoxication.

While a police officer was transporting the teenager to jail, he managed to partially free himself from his handcuffs.

The officer continued driving before he crashed, sending the drunk teenager flying out the car.

Jonesboro Police said that Officer Justin Thompson, was taking the suspect to jail when his patrol car crashed and overturned.

Police released the video from the patrol car that shows the suspect, 19-year-old Logan Younger, flying out of the back window of the patrol car.

Younger took the opportunity to escape while the officer was stuck in the wrecked car. Firefighters cut the car to free Officer Thompson.

He was taken to a hospital, where he is said to be in stable condition.

People who witnessed the accident and saw the suspect running, ran after him and held him down until other officers arrived and took him to a hospital before he was taken into custody.

Younger was taken to the Craighead County Detention Center on charges of escape, public intoxication, fleeing on foot, and minor in possession.
