Drunk man who was wanted by police on an outstanding warrant gets into police cruiser instead of taxi

Police managed to arrest a wanted man after he got into a police cruiser instead of a taxi while he was intoxicated, according to police in Canada.

Toronto police said that they have arrested the drunk man, who was not identified, on an outstanding bench warrant.

Police spokesperson Officer Allyson Douglas-Cook said that the incident unfolded as an officer stopped to get gas at a service station on Saturday around 10:30 p.m. As the officer was pumping gas, the man got into the cruiser, mistaking it for a taxi. The man was under the influence of alcohol.
