The driver of a car who played Pokemon Go, was arrested following the death of a young woman who was riding her bicycle, according to police in Japan.
Kasugai police said that they have arrested the 20-year-old driver of the car, who was not identified, after slamming into the 20-year-old woman.
The victim, who was not identified, was rushed to a hospital, but she died of her injuries. The driver of the car remained at the scene of the crash.
He told investigators that he was looking away at the time of the collision as he tried to charge his mobile phone. The battery was almost dead because he had been playing Pokemon Go while driving.
The driver was charged with negligence resulting in death.
