Donald Trump uses death of Dwyane Wade’s cousin to boast about election odds, misspells NBA star’s name

Donald Trump tastelessly used the tragic shooting death of basketball star Dwyane Wade’s cousin to appeal to black voters, but he couldn’t even spell the Chicago Bulls player’s name correctly.

“Dwayne Wade’s cousin was just shot and killed walking her baby in Chicago. Just what I have been saying. African-Americans will VOTE TRUMP!” Trump tweeted Saturday, a day after 32-year-old Nykea Aldridge was shot dead in the city’s South Side. The mom of four did not appear to be the target of the shooting.

Critics swiftly condemned the Republican presidential hopeful’s callous message which offered no condolences or sympathy to Aldridge’s grieving family and mocked the real estate mogul for misspelling Wade’s first name.

Wade  who sent out his own tweets Friday night condemning senseless gun violence in the wake of his cousin’s death did not respond to Trump’s typo-ridden message. Instead, he continued to grieve and pay his respects to his slain cousin.

“RIP Nykea Aldridge… #EnoughIsEnough,” he tweeted Saturday.

Aldridge was pushing her 3-week-old daughter in a stroller Friday afternoon when she was shot in the head and arm near the Dulles School of Excellence. She was on her way to register her older children for school, officials said.

The baby girl was not injured in the gun attack.
