Delta Air Lines tweets that its computer systems are down “everywhere” and it has grounded flights as a result.
WGCL-TV, the CBS affiliate in Atlanta, where Delta is based, reports the problem was first uncovered when a flight was to take off from San Francisco.
Delta says flights in the air are OK:
Due to a computer outage, flights awaiting departure are currently delayed. Flights enroute are operating normally.— Delta News Hub (@DeltaNewsHub) August 8, 2016
