Cue the schmaltzy pop ballad lyrics: Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are reportedly set to get hitched.
“The Voice” judges are moving forward with wedding plans, hiring celebrity event coordinator Jerri Wooworth to plan the wedding, TMZ is reporting.
The report comes just four months after Stefani, 40, officially finalized her divorce to Gavin Rosdale after 13 years of marriage.
She recently told Cosmopolitan Magazine that she “went through months and months of torture” before her decision to end her marriage with her rocker husband, with whom she has three children.
In Shelton, she would have a partner who knows his way down the aisle. The 46-year-old country crooner was previously married to his high school sweetheart Kaynette Williams and “Mama’s Broken Heart” singer Miranda Lambert.
Apparently Shelton left an impression after ditching Lambert last year: She broke down in tears during a concert in Chicago last Friday night while performing a song, “Over You,” she co-wrote with her ex. Fans sang along to help her finish the number.
But Stefani and her new man may be destined to make beautiful music together this time. Having bonded on their NBC reality singing competition, they helped nurse each other through their crumbling marriages before becoming a couple themselves last October.
“He hasn’t been this happy in years,” a friend of Shelton’s told US Weekly earlier this week.
In Woolworth they would get a planner who “is known over-the-top events planned for and attended by some of the world’s most famous and elite personalities,” according to her web site.
She has previously run the red carpet at the Country Music Awards.
