Young man hit in the eye by exploding bullets that friend threw into bonfire

 

A man was rushed to a hospital with an eye injury after his friend threw
bullets into a bonfire in middle of the night, according to police in
Canada.

Police in Austin, said that the incident unfolded on Saturday around
4:00 a.m., as a group of friends spent the night around a bonfire for
Canada Day.

According to the police investigation, five people were drinking
alcoholic beverages while sitting around bonfire when a 21-year-old man
began throwing bullets into the fire.

The bullets then exploded, and fragments hit a 23-year-old man in the
eye. He was taken to a hospital, where he was treated and released.

The 21-year-old man was arrested, but so far, no charges have been
filed. Police said that alcohol led to the suspect’s poor decision.
