Video: Customer rescues Subway worker who was locked in freezer for two hours

A man walked into a Subway restaurant, and heard a worker screaming and banging from the inside of a freezer.

Amandeep Singh of New Zealand, said that he heard the worker screaming
for help when he entered the Subway restaurant in Newmarket,
approximately 9:45 p.m. on Sunday.

Singh said the screams were coming from behind the door at the back of the store.

Since he heard that it was a female employee and he was alone in the
store, Singh ran outside to get his wife Rezi, to help the woman.

The couple quickly went back inside and called out to the employee, who told them that she was locked in the freezer.

Singh said that he recorded the rescue to protect his wife against possible burglary or shoplifting charges.

Rezi was able to open the freezer and rescue the employee. The video
shows the grateful employee hugging Rezi as she cried and thanked her.

The employe explained that she had been locked in the freezer for two hours, and that she had been very scared.
