Teen to file lawsuit against school for not taking her as cheerleader

A teen in Florida, who failed to convince coaches and judges to select
her to join the cheerleading team, is threatening to file a lawsuit
against the school district.
The teen, who was not identified, was ranked too slow to join the cheerleading team at the Leon County Schools.

She also fell twice during tryouts. Now, she is threatening to sue the
school district if she is not allowed to join the team. Officials have
the option to overrule the decision of the judges and coaches.

However, the judges and the coaches of the cheerleading team have threatened to quit if their decision is overruled.

Caylen Berry, who is the head coach, said that an athlete who does not
deserve to be on the team shouldn’t be there because of a threat as it
undermines the legitimacy of sports.
