Taylor Swift fails to garner a single MTV VMA nomination… though song she co-wrote with ex Calvin Harris gets nod

She is the reigning queen of the MTV VMAs.
But Taylor Swift is sure to go home empty handed at this year’s show after she was astonishingly snubbed in all categories.
In
a controversial twist, while she failed to receive a single nomination
the song she wrote with ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris is up for two awards.
This Is What You Came For, which features Rihanna, is nominated in the best male video and Best Collaboration.
Making it even sweeter for the Scottish EDM hunk, he is also up for the best electronic video award for How Deep Is Your Love.
The former
country singer failed to net any nods for her three most recent videos,
it could be that due to eligibility reasons, as her her 1989 album came
out in late 2014.
All three of her recent singles Wildest Dreams, Out of the Woods and New Romantics were culled from that platter.
