Suspected herdsmen kill three in Adamawa

Gunmen suspected to be herdsmen stormed Thambo village in Girei Local
Government Area of Adamawa State killing 3 persons and injuring 3 others
yesterday July 13th. The suspected herdsmen who were said to be about
100 hundred in number began shooting when they entered the community.
After the attack, they carted away about 100 cows.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the
Adamawa State Police Command, DSP Othman Abubakar, said cattle rustlers
have been identified as the perpetrators of the attack. He said the
police is on top of the situation and will soon arrest those behind the
attack.

Meanwhile the remains of the 3 victims have been deposited at the state’s Specialist Hospital.
