Six suspects arrested over the murder of a female preacher in Abuja

Mother of seven, Deaconess Eunice Olawale, was butchered to death by some unidentified persons while preaching in the morning at
Gbazango community in Kubwa, Abuja in the early hours of July 9th.
The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has now arrested six suspects over her murder. 

A statement released
by the spokesman of the FCT police command, ASP Anjuguri Manzah said
FCT, Commissioner of Police (CP) Alkali Usman ordered the Deputy
Commissioner of Police, Criminal Investigation and Intelligence
Department (CIID) to lead a discreet investigation into the murder of
Mrs. Eunice Mojisola Wale.

According to him, the 40 year old woman was
murdered by unknown persons in the early hours of
at Bazango Pipeline area of Kubwa. Six suspects arrested in connection
with the gruesome murder are in Police custody, currently undergoing
interrogation and the outcome will be made public.
He also said the CP commiserates with the family members of
the deceased over the unfortunate incident and assured them and other
residents of the area of the commitment and determination of the Command
to fish-out perpetrators of the heinous crime and bring them to
justice. Contrary to reports from some sections of the media that the
deceased’s head and leg was chopped-off, the Command stated that apart
from marks of injury inflicted on some parts of her body, all parts of
the deceased body are intact and the Police has taken custody of her
remains for preservation and examination.
Manzah enjoined residents of Kubwa and the general public to remain calm and cooperate with police in the ongoing investigation.
