Police release adorable mugshot of fugitive dog

Police in Florida, have released an adorable mugshot of a fugitive dog.

The Tarpon Springs Police Department took to Facebook, to explain the reason behind the mugshot of the dog.

Police wrote that officers found the dog that ran away from its home. The dog was found wandering around without supervision.

The officer took the dog to the police station, where it was booked as if it was a runaway suspect.

One officer held the dog up while another officer took its “booking
photo.” They took fingerprints of the dog the same way they do with
human suspects.

Police then released the photo on social media in an attempt to locate the dog’s owner.

This worked well as the owner came to the police station to claim the dog.

Officer wrote on Facebook: “Willow refused to tell officers where she
lived so she was taken to the police department, where she was booked
and photographed.

“She was very cooperative with officers and probably one of the most friendly prisoners we’ve ever had in custody.”
