Police officers remove Tim Hortons coffee cup stuck on head of skunk

Two compassionate police officers in Canada, stopped to help a skunk
that had a coffee cup stuck on its head, according to a video that was
uploaded to the Internet.

On Wednesday, at approximately 2:15 a.m., Officer Kyle Van De Sype was
on his way home after a hard day of fighting crime in Winnipegosis, when
he observed the starving skunk with a Tim Hortons coffee cup stuck on
its head.

Out of concern for the animal, he called in his backup, Officer Catlin
Lang. The two members pondered their options and formulated a detailed
rescue plan.

The two officers placed a large yellow tarp over the skunk for
protection against getting sprayed as they worked to remove the coffee
cup from the skunk’s head.

After implementing the high-risk “tarp and trap” maneuver, the cup was
removed and the skunk was set free with the ability to eat again.

No officers were sprayed during this incident.
