Police launched an investigation after a Playboy model fat shamed a woman at a gym by uploading a naked photo of her on a social media site and indicating that she was ugly, according to police in California.
29-year-old Dani Mathers of Los Angeles, was in a gym’s locker room, where she took a nude photo of a fat woman.
She uploaded the photo to her Snapchat account, and said: “If I can’t unsee this then you can’t either.” Her statement caused a firestorm on social media, and she was forced to take down the image and apologize.
However, the Los Angeles Police Department announced that Mathers is facing charges of disseminating private images. The L.A. Fitness gym, where Mathers took the photo, called the police.
A spokesperson for the company said that Mathers was banned from the gym and her membership was revoked. Mathers was named the 2015 Playboy Playmate of the Year.
