A young firefighter named Bu Wenming has become a sensation online
after pictures went viral earlier this week showing him gulping down a
truly enormous bowl of instant noodles.
According to NetEase,
Bu and his fellow firefighters had been training non-stop for two days
and finally returned back to the station at 2 a.m. in the morning.
Completely famished, they all rushed to the canteen to fill up their
empty stomachs with the only thing on the menu — instant noodles.
After a while, many firefighters had finished their meals, leaving
lots of leftover noodles inside one bowl. But, with his own hunger still
not satisfied, Bu kept right on going, devouring all the remaining
noodles inside the bowl and even gulping down the soup to go along with
it.
As he was devouring the noodles, some of this coworkers recorded the
remarkable event with their phones and uploaded the pictures online. It
wasn’t long before those photos went viral on Chinese social media.
Later, when asked why he had such a big appetite, Bu replied that he
definitely isn’t a big guy, but the workload and excruciating training
had left him exhausted. Only by eating a lot of food could he gain
enough energy to go on.
