Obafemi Martins early today visited and sent his best wishes to Senegalese
footballer Demba Ba after the striker suffered a horrific career ending leg-break on
Sunday. The
former West Ham, Newcastle and Chelsea striker collapsed to the ground
in pain after slipping over in a challenge with Shanghai SIPG’s Sun
Xiang in the second half.
“I just want to wish him soonest recovery, it’s really painful” said Nigerian forward Obafemi martins.
Ba has been been on top of his game since moving to Chinese football from Besiktas
in 2015 for a £12m fee, scoring 14 goals in 18 Super League appearances for Shanghai
Shenhua in 2016 to lead the league’s scoring charts.
