Three dead bodies of suspected armed robbers were displayed by the
Anambra State Police Command at the headquarters of the state Anti
Robbery Squad (SARS), Awkuzu on Wednesday, July 20.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ali Okechukwu while
displaying the bodies, said they got information about the activities of
the robbers from a king pin earlier arrested by Delta State Police
command and handed over to Anambra command.

According
to Mr. Okechukwu, the three were gunned down by the operatives of the
police  command at Nibo while robbing their victims of their belongings.
One Chuma Anyichie and unidentified female suspected robber were
critically injured during a gun battle with the SARS operatives at
Nnebisi road, Asaba, Delta state.

The state Police Public Relation Officer further said that both the
king pin and two other female suspects with bullet injuries are
receiving treatment in a undisclosed hospital.

Item recovered from them include Two AK47 rifles, twenty four rounds
of live ammunition, one pump action, five locally made short guns, one
machete, five expanded cartridges, one Toyota four runner Jeep, one
pathfinder Nissan Jeep, and one Toyota Sienna, Others item include one
AK Two gun, assorted handsets and suspected bag of Marijuana.
