Passengers at Chongqing airport kicked up quite the fuss after their
flight was delayed for three hours, refusing to board their plane and
demanding an apology from the airline.
According to NetEase, the incident took place on July 17 at Chongqing
Jiangbei International Airport. A flight bound for Nanjing was supposed
to depart at 7:15 p.m. but was delayed for over three hours.
Angry at the delay, some passengers began to argue with staff at the airport and refused to board the plane.
After a mechanical problem with the aircraft was fixed, most
passengers got on the plane which took off at 9:40 p.m. that evening.
However a small number remained behind, demanding a formal apology
from the airline and a payout. It is not known whether or not the
passengers were compensated for the delay.
It’s a shame airport staff weren’t fortunate to have the Philadelphia orchestra on the plane to entice their customers aboard.
