Mother dumps three young children in hot desert with no shoes or water as punishment

An evil mother and her boyfriend of California, were arrested over the cruel and unusual punishment towards her children.

The mother left her children alone in the Twentynine Palms desert as
punishment, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said.

A passerby called police after spotting the three young children alone
in the hot desert when temperatures reached into the triple digits.

Officers responded to the 74000 block of Samarkand Drive about 11:20 a.m., and found the three children without water or shoes.

The children were identified as a 5-year-old boy, a 6-year-old boy and a 7-year-old girl.

Authorities have not said how long the children were alone in the desert
area, but they said that the children were not injured.

Deputies arrested the mother of the children, 34-year-old Mary Bell, and
her boyfriend, Gary Cassle, 29, on suspicion of felony child abuse,
according to the sheriff’s department.

Bell and Cassle have been accused of leaving children in the desert as
punishment, but police have not disclosed what the children did to cause
their mother to resort to this.

The couple, who is said to be homeless and living out of their car, were
booked into Morongo Basin jail. Their bail was set at $100,000.
