Man stumbles down middle of busy road carrying six-month-old baby while high on drugs

 

A man was arrested after putting the life of a baby at risk. Police in Florida, were called by concerned people after seeing a man
walking down a busy highway rather the using the sidewalk.

29-year-old Roger Mumma was arrested in New Port Richey, on Sunday
morning, after concerned motorists called police when they saw him
stumbling along a road.

Mumma was seen holding a 6-month-old baby in one arm.

Police body cam shows Deputy Juan Gerardi approaching Mumma. “Is everything alright?” He is heard saying.

Mumma replied: “Yes, just people are following me.”

“Who’s following you?” The deputy asked.

“I don’t know, man. There’s a bunch of cars following me everywhere I go. I don’t know what’s going on,” Mumma said.

When the officer tried to pat him down, Mumma became unruly and he was
placed in handcuffs. The police officer noted that Mumma was sweating.

Mumma admitted to taking ecstasy just hours before wandering outside with the baby.

The baby was taken to the police station and was handed over to family members.

Mumma was charged with child neglect and resisting arrest.
