Man sentenced to 25 years in prison for taking pornographic photos of young boys while in China

Kelly James Morrow, 49, was sentenced to 25 years in federal prison
last week at a Arizona court after confessing to molesting four young
boys while living in China.

The Arizona native moved to China to work on a gold course project.
During his stay abroad, he took pornographic photos and videos featuring
young boys.

Morrow was arrested last June, a week after landing in Los Angeles on
a flight from Singapore. While he was going through airport security,
Morrow’s computer and video equipment were confiscated. Further
investigation exposed a collection of more than 60,000 videos and photos
exhibiting child pornography.

In April of this year, Morrow pleaded guilty to possession of child
pornography and sexual exploitation of children outside the United
States, according to a press release from the Department of Justice.

“This defendant is a sexual predator who not only abused young boys –
he also documented their physical and mental abuse by taking thousands
of pictures of his victims,” said United States Attorney Eileen M.
Decker.

Joseph Macias, special agent in charge for HSI Los Angeles, added:
“As this case shows, HSI is using all of its law enforcement authorities
to combat this heinous behavior both here and abroad. We owe it to the
children who are the victims in these cases, many of whom will bear the
emotional scars of this trauma for the rest of their lives.”
