Man charged for setting bunny rabbit on fire because it bit him

 

A man was arrested on a charge of animal cruelty after allegedly setting
a bunny rabbit on fire because it bit him, according to police in
Florida.

The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office said that they have arrested
22-year-old Manasseh Walker, after being accused of setting the rabbit
named Thumper on fire.

Walker was charged with one count of animal cruelty. He was booked into the Charlotte County jail, pending a bail hearing.

According to the police, witnesses saw Walker getting bitten by the
rabbit, and moments later was seen chasing the bunny while it was on
fire.

The rabbit is being treated for burns, but is expected to survive.
