Man breaks into firehouse at 4:00 a.m. to put on firefighter’s pants and hat

 

A man was arrested after he was found dressed in firefighter gear inside a firehouse.

Firefighters of Oregon, left their station to fight a forest fire.

When they returned, they met an expected visitor who was dressed in
firefighter gear, sitting at a table and waiting for them to return.

According to Eugene police, 36-year-old Freddie Jess Sarenana used a
rock to break a window at the Eugene-Springfield Fire Department’s East
33rd Avenue fire station around 4:00 a.m., and he climbed inside.

Police said that he then climbed on top of a fire truck and lied on the
roof for a while. After climbing off of the truck, Sarenana put on a
firefighter’s pants, belt and a hat.

Officials said that when Sarenana was arrested, they found methamphetamine in his possession.

He was charged with first-­degree criminal trespass, second-­degree
criminal mischief and possession of methamphetamine. He was booked to
the Lane County Jail.
