Luxury dog spa opens in Japan and they claim to help drive demons out of possessed dogs

A luxury dog spa offering pampering sessions for pets has been opened in Japan.
The D+ Kirishima offers high-end gourmet meals, luxury baths and overnight stays.
It also has a resident Shinto priest to help exorcise dogs possessed by evil spirits.
The “Pet Dog Exorcism Plan” listed on the spa’s website is suggested for dogs in their “unlucky health years”.
“Seven-year-old, 10-year-old, and 13-year-old dogs need to be careful of
their health, as it’s easier in those years for them to gets diseases
of ageing,” they explain.

The priest will perform the ceremony on the dog in front of the revered
Shingariyu Shrine.
The exorcism takes 30 minutes with the spa charging 31,000 yen (£235)
per room for two people – plus pet – including breakfast, dinner, and
exorcism.

Humans and their their pets can relax in a mineral-rich bath and if the
dogs want some ‘alone time’ away from humans, there’s a private swimming
pool just for that purpose.
